My name is Natalie Armstrong, and I am an architectural designer with a background in interior design, residential architecture, art installations, community design, and urban planning. After graduating from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's in Architecture, I became the program manager at the Community Design Resource Center in Houston. Working with communities has deepened my passion for design by grounding my practice in the relationships between people and place. I am excited to be working with Mend Collaborative this summer to strengthen my skills as a designer to be able to better address the systemic challenges that impact communities across the country.
I grew up in Boerne, Texas, where I spent most of my free time playing sports and exploring the outdoors. Today, when I am not designing, I love to paint, practice yoga, and cook.
