Hi there! My name is Leisl, and I am an incoming third year graduate student in the landscape architecture and urban planning programs at the University of Minnesota. My background is in sustainability and economics, and I’ve been able to take this systems-based thinking and apply it across a wide range of scales in design. I am incredibly grateful to be working with Mend Collaborative this summer, striving to be an advocate for uplifting and strengthening communities from within. The intersection of planning and landscape architecture in urban design excites me most. In my free time, I find joy in baking and spending time with my family and pets at home in Wisconsin. I also love watching Packers football, although that brings a bit of stress with the excitement. Can’t wait to see what this summer at Mend brings!
